UnitDial (unitdial.com) is a free unit conversion tool. This page explains what data is and isn't collected when you use it. There is no account system, no sign-up, and no user-submitted content — the site is a single-page tool.
All physical-unit conversions (length, mass, temperature, volume, speed, area, data storage, time, energy, pressure, angle, power, force) run entirely in your browser. No values you type into the converter, and no unit selections you make, are sent to any server.
The Currency category fetches exchange rate data from Frankfurter, a free, open-source foreign exchange rates API. This request is made directly from your browser to Frankfurter's servers. It does not include the amount or units you're converting — only a general request for current exchange rates. Frankfurter's own privacy practices apply to that request; UnitDial does not control or receive that data.
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like most web hosts, Cloudflare may automatically log standard technical information for security and performance purposes — such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps. This is infrastructure-level logging common to virtually all websites, not something UnitDial configures or accesses directly.
UnitDial may display third-party advertisements, including through Google AdSense. If ads are active, the advertising provider may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or generally at aboutads.info/choices.
UnitDial does not currently use cookies, local storage, or any tracking scripts of its own for functionality — everything you enter resets when you reload the page.
